CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Illahaw’s “Cow-Town” Look. Camp Illahaw sports the theme of “Old Florida”. Our Mess Hall, Bathhouse, Counselor Cabin, and Recreation Room are the beginning of Main Street. Boys and Girls Dorm

Set in the style of an old-Florida cracker-town from the 1800′s, our dormitories and activity rooms serve as the perfect home base for the week’s activities. We have a boys dorm and a girls dorm each with 32 camper capacity. Counselor to camper ratio is 6:1 at night so counselors stay in the dorm with campers all night. With so much to do, campers can stay for multiple weeks with no additional charge for overnights between sessions and we also offer laundry service free of charge!

The Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Visitor Center is home to the Cypress Restaurant, the Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Marketplace and serves as the departure point for fun safaris offered through Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Illahaw is owned and operated by the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a non-profit organization established in 1991. Since 2005, Camp Illahaw has offered campers the chance to experience all Florida has to offer with a diverse selection of fun activities from Horseback Trail Rides; Arena Activities; Florida History/Heritage; Low Ropes Challenge Course; Hiking; Kayaking; Archery; Shooting; Swimming, Paintball*; and our “unique” Outdoor Survival Activity*. At Camp Illahaw, not only do we concentrate on camper activities but also their social interactions under the guidance of camp directors and counselors assuring a safe and fun experience for everyone. The CIT Program seeks to teach young people about responsibility, authority, and hard work that will prepare them to be counselors and leaders in the future, or to prepare them for college life. Being a camp counselor is a great summer job for college students. Our CIT program is a great way for young adults to gain the necessary experience and qualities needed to secure a job. Many camps look for past camp experience or CIT program experience. We prefer our CIT’s be past Camp Illahaw campers but it isn’t required.

You will also earn 50 community hours per week!

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 dorms, complete with air conditioning and showers, an outdoor pool, a dining hall, outdoor chapel, main lodge for activities and gatherings, a field for sports, and a sand volleyball court. Lake Howell provides a place for canoes and paddleboats.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: San Pedro Catholic Camp is staffed by qualified young men and women who are active in Church ministry and have a deep sense of God in their own lives. All staff members have been screened by the State of Florida, fingerprinted by the Diocese of Orlando, and are well trained for their positions, including certification on working with young people in a safe environment through the American Camp Association.

Overnight and Day Camp participants are offered an opportunity to unplug from distractions and take a step back from everyday life to create important lasting relationships. Our goal is not only to provide a wholesome outdoor life, but to also assist youth in true character and faith formation through the celebration of Mass, daily prayer services, as well as the sacrament of reconciliation.

Entering 9th Grade
HADRACHA combines leadership training with a fun camp experience. LITs will work with campers and travel on field trips or participate in leadership and team building programs for 2 days. LITS will participate in mitzvah ("good deed") projects and trips. Additionally, one day will be spent at the JCC working on camp wide special events programming, and spending time with campers. An interview process and acceptance is required for admission into the LIT program. 25 Community Service hours will be awarded for each 4-week session.

Madrich CITs assist in camp groups and learn hands on skills as well as knowledge gained in leadership training sessions. A $100 stipend is given and 160 Community Service hours are awarded for each 4-week session. An interview is required for admission into the CIT program. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each week has a different and exciting theme, like, 2 Arts and Crafts Camps, Fear Factor/ Survivor Challenge, Be A Movie Star Camp, Karate Arts Got Talent Show, DIY Pinterest Projects Camp, Bully Buster Camp, and 2 Black light Camps.

Summer is not the time to let the progress made throughout the school year just slip away. One of the most effective skills taught at Karate Arts and also in our Summer Camps, is the process of goal setting. These are the perfect camps for every child from the beginner to the experienced. This is more than just fun; this is a Positive Life Experience! Outdoor activities are included as well; we will have daily soccer, basketball or flag football games plus other fun outdoor activities.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer After School Karate and self defense classes for children and adults from age 3 and up

OTHER CAMP INFO: Summer Camps: 9am - 3pm, the fee is $99 per week
Extended day: 6:45 am-6pm, $99 + $25 for a total of $124 per wk.
Enroll early as most Summer Camps will fill up quickly and you do not want your child to miss out on these exciting and fun summer camps.
Register before May 18th and get $10 off your first week of Summer Camp
A $20 non refundable deposit is required at the time of registration, which will go toward your first week of summer camp

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
June 13 – 17 Arts and Crafts Camp: All kinds of Arts and Crafts will be made this week. Tie-Dye T-shirts, pillow cases, Jewelry, Ducked Tape art projects, painting, pavement chalk drawing, make your own hula hoops and much more!!

June 20 – 24 Blacklight Camp #1: This is the personal favorite of all. Learn how to flow with almost all the weapons of the martial arts in black light. This is an experience you don’t want to miss. The campers will put on a show for all their friends and family that they won’t soon forget.

June 27 – July 1 Survivor / Fear Factor Camp: There will be no eating bugs in this camp, but your team building skills will be put to the test with this all out fun and challenging survivor type Karate camp. This camp is a must for people who enjoy a truly challenging and rewarding activity.

July 5 – 8 Karate Arts Got Talent: America’s Got Talent is a fan favorite show that allows anyone to compete with a variety of acts. This is the ultimate talent show. So it’s time to show the world your Secret Talent! No Camp on Monday July 4th

July 11 – 15 Be A Movie Star Camp: During this camp, children will write a script, create and produce the set, and Star in their very own Movie. Each child will take home their copy of the Karate Arts Movie Camp Production for the entire family to laugh with and enjoy.

July 18 – 22 DIY Pinterest Projects Camp: During this camp, children will create and make very cool Pinterest DIY projects, and each child will take home their creations for the entire family to enjoy. There will other activities trough out the week like Water Day.

August 8 – 12 Bully Buster / Predators Beware Camp: With school starting back next week, this camp will teach campers how to stay safe in an increasingly dangerous world. They will learn how to recognize what bullying is and how to stand up to it safely and Gain self-confidence. Also we will have a Stranger Danger Awareness class for all campers.
