CAMP FACILITIES: We have 19 rustic cabins situated both on the waterfront and in the woods. Tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts as well as soccer and softball fields are available for all campers' enjoyment. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Wright is an ACA accredited camp and is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Easton. Founded in 1930, Camp Wright offers summer camps and other programs that develop children of all ages and backgrounds through living, recreating, singing and praying in an environment that promotes leadership and individual growth.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have leadership programs for both our Day and Resident campers. These programs include traditional camp activities along with teambuilding exercises, leadership skill development and offsite trips.

Day Camp offer a Leadership Adventure Program for 6th-8th graders.

Resident Camp offers Senior High Leadership, Senior High Adventure Camp, and Senior Camp Session for 9th-11th graders.

The Resident Camp also offers a CIT program where teens who have completed 10th- 11th grade choose two weeks during the summer for their training. One week is spent working in the kitchen for half the day and the other half helping with programming for younger campers. The other week is spent in the cabin with campers and full time staff to really get a feel for what it is like to be counselor.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Montgomery Soccer Academy is one of the longest running and most popular soccer day camps in the area. Since 1990 the camp goal has been to help children learn and love soccer by emphasizing skill work ans small sided games. Skills Camp for boys and girls ages 4 and up include a variety of games, contests and activities to keep the children interested, practicing and learning.

Last year almost 200 middle and high school age girls attended our sessions. These are designed to be both challenging enough and individualized enough to help girls at all levels reach their potential. The camp is directed by Jim Bruno, Girls Varsity Coach at Good Counsel, with nationally ranked teams 14 of last 19 year. 1) Youth Academy - Designed for boys and girls ages 6-10. Fun, exciting and engaging activities are all part of the week. 2) Junior Academy - Designed for boys & girls, goalkeepers and field players ages 10-13. The program has been designed to build a foundation that will help the participant’s progress to the next level. This will be accomplished in a fun, entertaining and positive environment. Each session will be progressive in nature and will conclude with a relative small-sided game that will highlight the topic of the session. Competitive tournaments will be played throughout the week, and be the highlight of our evening sessions.

3) Senior Academy - Designed for High School players, including incoming freshmen, who are ready to play and be trained at the next level. . Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. Players will be exposed to the four dimensions of training, Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. 5) College Showcase Camps - Now available for the serious soccer player at select No.1 Soccer Camp sites throughout the country. The directors of our College ID Showcase Camps are all currently active college coaches. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:

CAMP FACILITIES: This camp will be both indoors and outside throughout the day. We will be playing games outside on our baseball and soccer fields or inside in the gym depending on the activity.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The following sports will be offered at camp; soccer, street hockey, basketball, T-ball, team handball, flag football, and backyard games such as kickball, capture the flag, and hoop ball. This is a great camp for the beginner athlete as well as for the more competitive athlete. This camp is available to Woods Academy and Non-Woods Academy students. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 4 cabin groups, or "hills," with 4-8 rustic cabins per hill, as well as 3 air-conditioned, dormitory-style buildings. All areas have access to multiple volleyball courts, basketball nets, our outdoor pool, and gaga pit. A modern dining hall and health center, along with rustic trading post, fellowship hall, and outdoor chapel are all located along the Chester River.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Pecometh is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Established in 1946, we have been providing campers with life-changing, God-inspired experiences for over 70 years. Summer Camp sessions are typically five days in length, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending after lunch on Fridays. Depending on the program, campers stay in rustic cabins or dorm-style facilities, and are supervised by our trained staff 24 hours a day.

All of our counselors are at least 18 years of age or graduated from high school and have received professional training, including First-Aid & CPR/AED certifications and bullying awareness and prevention training. Our Lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross. There is a nurse on site at all times and the closest major hospital is less than 15 miles away. Each session is a 1 hour, one or two days a week, sessions are conducted over a continuous 4 to 8 week period. This course designed to help athletes learn proper running mechanics. We use speed drills with particular emphasis on acceleration, coordination, balance development, body control, and first step quickness to reinforce the techniques learned. Each session breaks down a certain component that is necessary to build understanding of proper running mechanics.

Agility Training

Each session is a 1 hour, one or two days a week, sessions are conducted over a continuous 4 to 8 week period. Athletes learn proper agility basics. An emphasis is placed on lateral speed and multi-directional movement techniques that support actual sports movement patterns. These techniques are reinforced through agility drills run at full speed.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We host a parent-child weekend each May for families who wish to try out summer camp with their child before attending our summer sessions. May 5-7, 2017

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Camp St. Charles hosts a variety of retreat groups through out the year. Closed December and January, we host retreats in the spring and fall. Contact us for more information.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Visit our open house on March 12, April 9 or May 7 for lunch, tours and a ride on the giant swing. No fee for open house. Parent child weekend on May 5-7, 2017 is a great way to try out our summer program as a family. P-C weekend costs $50/person.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Our summer staff for 2017 will be needed from June 10- August 13, 2017. All of the details and requirements are on our website. We hope to fill all positions by April 1, please apply early. Junior Counselor positions are likely to be filled before April 1.

CAMP FACILITIES: Lodging formats include cluster style rooms with semi-private baths, micro fridges, microwave ovens as well as traditional rooms with a central bath. In addition, facilities include astro turf fields, natural grass fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball court and an 8 lane track for track and field.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Moravek Soccer School can confirm staff for the July 27-31, 2014 residential program. Staff will include Dale Blair from Fulham FC—England, Sepp Schoofs from PSV Eindhoven/FC Eindhoven – Netherlands, and Yuri Bogdanov from Mclean Soccer - USA. In addition, Fulham FC scout and Moravek Soccer School President, William Moravek will be in attendance. Yuri Bogdanov also played as an academy player in Zenit St. Petersburg's youth program in Russia.

In past camps we have had coaches and scouts from Arsenal FC – England, Southampton FC – England, Benfica FC – Portugal, Real Juventude (Real Madrid´s sister program) – Spain, Fulham FC – England, PSV Eindhoven – Netherlands and Jamaica National Team staff among others in attendance.

Technical Director and owner, William Moravek explains "We are extremely lucky to have such fine individuals from which our students can gain so much valuable information. It is also a fantastic opportunity for the area´s top youth players to be exposed to what has been so successful in Europe in regards to football youth development.

In 2010 we also had two academy players from Queens Park Rangers FC, and trialists from Chelsea, Reading and Fulham FC of England in attendance. This was a fantastic experience for all the players and certainly raised the standard of training through the week. In 2011 we had two of our students sign academy contracts with Fulham FC and another two students who were able to go train with that same club. It is important for us to share ideas and also grasp concepts and ideas from countries that have accomplished so much in the game over the years.

This is why we always have such a diverse and high level of professional coach and player at these camps. In addition we regularly get some of the best players from the area in attendance from clubs like Bethesda SC, Baltimore Bays, Mclean Premier Soccer, Potomac Soccer, Loudoun Soccer, Arlington Soccer, Soca Elite and Ashburn Soccer to name a few with players coming from as far as England, Germany, Florida, Kentucky and Guam in the past."

President & Technical Director

Recognized as a pioneer in youth and professional soccer in the Concacaf Region, Bill Moravek established his soccer school to motivate the young players of Loudoun County and to share his passion and love for the game. Moravek is currently an official Scout for 2010 Europa League Finalists, Fulham FC, of England's Premier League. He was an official scout for English professional side, Southampton FC and was a coach for them from 2001-2003. Southampton FC were longstanding participants in The Premier League which is considered to be one of the most exciting and finest professional soccer leagues in the world.

In 2003, Moravek was an assistant coach with Jamaica's National Team which saw him in action against the USA, Nigeria, Paraguay, Cuba and Brazil. In 2000-2001, Moravek was the head national team coach for the British Virgin Islands and Seba United FC in Jamaica’s premier division of their pro league. He is the first and youngest American coach to lead a foreign national and professional team outside of the USA. In addition, he has coached with the Maryland Mania of the professional “A” League and college sides, NCAA Division 1, Longwood University, Howard University and NCAA Division 2 Shepherd University.

Moravek still holds all scoring records for Loudoun County High school that date back to 1986 and 1987. He was also a scholarship athlete for Clemson University's 1987 National Championship and 1988 World Collegiate winning teams. In addition, he was a member of Clemson's Gator Bowl winning football team of 1989-1990. In 2003, The Loudoun Times Mirror Newspaper named Moravek as one of the All-Time Best Athletes to come out of Loudoun County, Virginia.

Moravek has earned the USSF “A” License, AYSO certificate and is a qualifier for the prestigous UEFA "A" License

CAMP FACILITIES: There is a large room for the activities of each language group. We have kitchen facilities where your child's lunch can be stored and an outdoor field for children to go out to play when the weather permits. We also have WIFI and a projector and large screen at our disposal.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Children become part of a theatre troupe, and are immersed in ESL (English as a Second Language), French, Chinese or Spanish. There is a performance at the end of each two-week session. Daily activities include: sports, theatre and music games, crafts and practice for a performance.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT is for young teens who already can speak fluently or who are almost fluent in the target language. They pay as campers and will be helped to refine their language skills and to learn how to work with younger students. They will be assigned specific tasks each day and discuss the day with the counselors daily. At the end of camp, each one who participated successfully will be able to receive a recommendation from the director in the case that they apply to work at another camp. They also may become eligible eventually to be paid assistants in our camp when they are old enough (currently 18).

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Early enrollment receives a 20% discount (February) and a 10% March 1 - 15. No registration fee until March 15th. All campers pay a materials fee of $10.00 a week.

At this time there is no formal scholarship or financial aid program, but if your family has a hardship, contact the director.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): The children will learn their target language, theatre and music through games and exercises daily, and through these experiences, build a show to share with their parents. All activities - music, theatre, crafts, sports, recess, and games - will be used by the staff to lead to an enrichment in the target language. The program attracts both those who are fluent (who concentrate mostly on the arts aspect and the fun and who can become leaders, helping their peers to speak better) and those who are beginners and of various levels of language speaking.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Children focus on the theatre skills; we focus on their language skills. This is a dramatic way to prepare your child for this global economy!

The director, Kaaren Agnez, has a professional theatre background. Counselors are trained in theatre and working with children and speak their target language fluently; most are natives. All speak at a native level: most are native speakers. Your children will learn the best of movement and improvisational theatre techniques, and all that in a way that helps them to speak another language.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are looking for native Chinese, Spanish and French speakers to be counselors or assistant counselors. Must have some skills in sports, theatre or arts and/or extensive experience with children or education. We do train all counselors. Full-time summer work is seasonal and during the year we offer part-time work. Counselors start a week before the camp itself: June 6th.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At TIC, campers choose between one of the following: Programming, Filmmaking, Digital Music, Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Robotics, and Animation. Over the course of a two week session, campers create a project in their chosen option.

In addition to technology, campers at TIC participate in a half day of athletics. They get 3-4 hour long periods a day ranging in a variety of traditional and non traditional sports.
